During this working visit aimed at giving new perspectives to this historic twinning, the elected officials were able to meet Michelle Wu, Mayor of Boston, as well as several members of the Boston executive, in charge in particular of the economy, the climate or transport. The main objective of the public policies implemented by the mayor of Boston’s team is to adapt the city to the consequences of climate change, in a coastal territory threatened by rising waters, while promoting social justice and the inclusion of all the inhabitants.

Cooperation in the fields of climate policies, sharing of public space, innovation and culture might be further developed between the two cities in the coming years, thus enriching the actions carried out locally. The development of links between Strasbourg and Boston companies, as well as exchanges around employment and training in areas of the future such as the energy renovation of buildings, will henceforth be a strong focus of this international cooperation.

Pink October: a “Traits de vie” exhibition at the CEA

The European Collectivity of Alsace is involved in the “Pink October” operation with the exhibition “Traits de vie” – which takes place until October 30 at the Hôtel de la Collectivité Européenne d’Alsace in Strasbourg. This exhibition by artist Valérie Gobyn tells the story of women with breast cancer. These patients who have become role models allow us to follow their journey towards the conquest of the women they are.

Under the features of charcoal or sanguine, the bodies posing are graceful.

Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Place du Quartier-Blanc in Strasbourg.

In addition, the CEA is organizing a “brunch hike” gourmet walk on Sunday, October 23 in the morning. The course of approximately 5 km will be embellished with gastronomic and tourist stops. The start and finish area will be set up at Place du Quartier-Blanc.
