It is the extreme south-east of the Loire (Pilat, Ondaine, Bassin Stéphanois, Gier, Sud Mont du Lyonnais) which should be the most affected with peaks of 100/150 mm of rain by Tuesday evening. The rest of the department should experience accumulations of around 10 to 50 mm. Risk of runoff and/or localized flooding on soils already saturated with water.

Weather 42

A lull is expected from midnight.

Ardèche on orange alert

An active rain-storm episode begins Monday afternoon and intensifies during the night from Monday to Tuesday.

The possible accumulations in a few hours in the Cévennes justify a switch to Orange vigilance for heavy precipitation in the Ardèche.

In the rest of the region, the stormy disturbance which crosses the region during the night from Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday morning could also give rise to intense precipitation.

Be careful in the south of the Loire

If this disturbance lingers until the end of the night and Tuesday morning in or near the Rhône valley, certain departments marked with yellow vigilance may be subject to a reassessment of the level of vigilancedepending on the evolution of the intensity of the heaviest precipitation and the associated accumulations.

The departments most concerned are Drôme (for the Rhône valley part), Isère (for northern Isère and Oisans), Rhône, Ain (for the west), Loire (for the south ).

Weather France

According to Keraunos, the French storm observatory, the risk of storms is ordinary with storms possibly being moderate.

“Lames of water of around 100 mm will also be possible up to the confines of the Pilate (even as far as Lyonnais, to be monitored). »
