A new bad weather will afflict us from today Maundy Thursday (2.5.2024), as the weather deteriorates and rains and storms are expected until Easter Sunday.
According to the weather forecast by Clearchos Marousakis, the bad weather will begin to recede from Easter Sunday, while we will celebrate Resurrection with… umbrellas.
As Klearchos Marousakis reports: “Rains and temporary local storms in the west, central and north will be encountered by Easter excursionists today M. Thursday and tomorrow M. Friday with the phenomena being more and more intense in the north-west and north-east parts”.
He continues by saying: “On M. Saturday, bad weather will pass through our country which will also affect the Resurrection, especially from the Peloponnese and above. So umbrellas and jackets are essential accessories.”
“On Easter Sunday, the bad weather will be limited to the Aegean and the eastern and southern continents with a tendency as the hours pass, the phenomena will weaken and be limited.
This means that for most continental regions, the traditional arrow sharpening will take place without any problems,” notes Klearchos Marousakis.
Clearchos Marousakis’ post
“Unstable weather for the next few days.
Briefly we mention:
1. Rains and temporary local storms in the west, central and north will be encountered by Easter excursionists today M. Thursday and tomorrow M. Friday with the phenomena being more and more intense in the north-west and north-east parts.
2. Maritime transport will be carried out without significant problems.
3. The procession of the Epitaphs will take place in mild and cool weather in most areas. Rains and storms will develop in the northeast (central-eastern Macedonia, Thrace, northeastern Aegean).
4. On M. Saturday, bad weather will pass through our country which will also affect the Resurrection, especially from the Peloponnese and above. So umbrellas and jackets are essential accessories.
5. On Easter Sunday, the bad weather will be limited to the Aegean and the eastern and southern continents with a tendency as the hours go by for the phenomena to weaken and be limited.
This means that for most continental areas the traditional quivering of the arrow will take place without problems.
However, in the Aegean as well as in areas of the mainland that are wet from it, the day will start with rainy weather, but the phenomena will be limited and subside.
6. The return of the Easter excursions will generally take place in mild weather conditions.
