Stormer to the voters: – My government will serve you

Starmer received the government commission from King Charles at Buckingham Palace on Friday followingnoon, reports Sky News. Earlier, Conservative leader Rishi Sunak went to the king to seek his resignation.

Labor made a snap election on Thursday and secured at least 412 of the 650 seats in the House of Commons. The Conservatives have won 121 seats. This marks the end of 14 years of Conservative governments in Great Britain.

“I have just come from Buckingham Palace, where I accepted an invitation from His Majesty the King to form the next government of this great nation,” Starmer said as he spoke for the first time outside Downing Street on 10.

He also thanked Rishi Sunak, who resigned earlier in the day, and emphasized that he was the first British Prime Minister of Asian background.

“Regardless of whether you voted Labor or not, and especially if you didn’t, I want to tell you that my government will serve you,” Starmer said.

Starmer also said that too many Britons have fallen into insecurity and poverty. Too many people think that Britain will be worse for their children than it is today, Starmer said.

– My government will fight every single day until you start to believe once more, said the newly minted prime minister before entering the door of the prime minister’s residence.
