Storm warning announced in Primorye on June 28 and 29

Primhydromet warns residents of the region regarding a strong deterioration in weather conditions on June 28 and at night on the 29th: a cyclone will bring heavy rains, thunderstorms and strong winds to the region. Bad weather is also expected in Vladivostok.

So, on the night of June 28 in the southern half, and in the followingnoon already on a larger territory of the region, it will rain, sometimes heavy, with a rainfall of 15-45 mm in 12 hours or less. During the day in the southern and eastern regions, local very heavy rains are also expected – with an amount of 50 mm or more.

On the night of June 29, heavy rains (15-30 mm in 12 hours) will continue in some places in the north of the region. Precipitation will be accompanied by thunderstorms, in some areas with wind intensification up to 15-20 m/s.

On the rivers, additional rises in the water level by 0.5-2.0 m are expected. In the north of the central regions, in the upper reaches of the rivers, with a significant amount and intensity of precipitation, water may overflow the banks with flooding of lower areas.
