Rivière-Pilote was confronted for a few minutes with a rise in water following a rainy period. The water level came down just as quickly. The municipal teams of Rivière-Pilote are on the bridge and remain vigilant.

For now, access to the lower part of the town center remains impossible, but Mayor Jean-François Beaunol remains confident:
We escaped the strong wave, only the entrance to the lower part of the town was flooded and at present the water is coming down. We are used to this kind of phenomenon because we are at the crossroads of two rivers and at the same level as the sea. The situation is well managed by our teams on site but we remain vigilant because the rains are announced until tomorrow morning.
