Storm Eunice: Wall gable collapses on two cars, 13-year-old extricated

Storm Eunice, passing through us, has already caused some damage. In addition to the traditional tree falls on the road, the Charleroi firefighters had a lot to do this Friday in the middle of the followingnoon. They were called to rue Nicolaï in Ransart (Charleroi), following the collapse of a wall gable on two parked cars.

A 13-year-old girl found herself trapped in one of the two cars following the fall of the wall. Luckily, a firefighter who was going to pick up her children from school intervened to rescue the trapped young girl, while waiting for her colleagues to arrive.

Neighbor forced to fetch firefighters

As incredible as it may seem, the Charleroi firefighters finally intervened on the spot thanks to a local resident. The latter went directly to the Jumet station to warn the firefighters since many calls to 112 got no response…

The young teenager was extricated and transported to the Marie Curie hospital in Lodelinsart.
