Fast and unbureaucratic help for companies affected by storms
Vienna (OTS) – In the past few days, storms and flooding, particularly in the south of Austria, have caused severe damage to private individuals, but also to companies. That is why the Chamber of Commerce and the Social Insurance for the Self-Employed (SVS) are now starting their tried and tested aid campaign for member companies that have gotten into trouble through no fault of their own due to the storm.
WKÖ General Secretary Karlheinz Kopf: “As in previous years, we want to support our member companies in dealing with the major storm and flood damage quickly and as unbureaucratically as possible.” SVS Chairman Peter Lehner emphasizes: “SVS sees itself as a partner for your Insured – especially in times of crisis and unforeseeable catastrophes like the current storms.”
The joint storm relief campaign will be carried out in a tried and tested manner: The financial support for a company amounts to at least 10% of the damage incurred per case of damage, capped at 10,000 euros or 15,000 euros depending on the state chamber. In each individual case of damage, 50% of the funds are provided by the respective state chamber, 30% by the social insurance institution for the self-employed and 20% by the WKÖ. If a self-employed person is not an SVS member, the state chamber and the federal chamber each take over half of the share. (PWK246)
