According to the emergency bulletin, the main disturbance of the bad weather Cassandra is passing north of Greece, without however significantly affecting us.
The weather will deteriorate in our country with the passage of a cold front, from the afternoon hours of Friday (04-10-24) until the evening of Saturday (05-10-24), with strong rains and storms in places, mainly in the western and northeastern parts.
In detail:
A. Friday (04-10-24)
From the afternoon hours, rains and storms will initially affect the northern Ionian and gradually Epirus, the rest of the Ionian islands, western Sterea and northwestern Peloponnese. Possibly, during the night, the western parts of Thessaly will also be temporarily affected.

B. Saturday (05-10-24)
a) From the early hours of the morning until midday, rain and storms will affect the western Mainland and the western Peloponnese.
b) From the midday hours until the evening, eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the northeastern Aegean.

In our country, the North Ionian and Epirus will be affected from midday on Friday, and by the evening the rest of the Ionian islands, the western Sterea and the northwestern Peloponnese, with possibly strong effects in places”, he says in his post.
The weather today
In the west, temporarily increased clouds with local rains and in the northern Ionian and Epirus sporadic storms, with a weakening of the phenomena in the evening. In the rest of the country generally clear weather and only in the midday and afternoon hours in western Macedonia, in the western parts of eastern Sterea and in the northern Peloponnese, temporary clouds will develop and local rains are likely to occur.
Visibility will be locally limited in the morning hours mainly in the eastern mainland and the northern Aegean.
Winds will blow from southerly directions 3 to 5 and in the Ionian locally 6 Beaufort and only in the Dodecanese will blow west northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly. It will reach the northern mainland 24 to 26 and locally 27 degrees, the rest of the mainland 27 to 30 degrees and the island country 25 to 28 degrees Celsius.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: Sparse clouds and only in western Macedonia from noon the clouds will increase and local rains will occur.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 10 to 26 and locally 27 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia locally 2 to 3 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Temporarily increased clouds with local rains and in the northern Ionian and Epirus sporadic storms, with a weakening of the phenomena in the evening.
Winds: From south directions 3 to 5 and in the northern Ionian southeast 5 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 12 to 25 and locally 27 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus the minimum is 4 to 5 degrees lower.
EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Generally clear. In the midday-afternoon hours, temporary clouds will develop and local rains are likely to occur in the western parts of the eastern mainland and the northeastern Peloponnese.
Winds: From south directions 3 to 4 and from the afternoon locally up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 14 to 28 and locally 30 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Generally clear.
Winds: From south directions 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 18 to 26 degrees Celsius.
EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE
Weather: Clear.
Winds: From south directions 3 to 5 and in the Dodecanese northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 17 to 26 degrees Celsius. In the north 2 to 3 degrees lower.
THESSALY
Weather: A few clouds, temporarily increased in the midday and afternoon hours.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 Beaufort.

ATTICA
Weather: Generally clear.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
