London – Storm Betty will hit Britain following Anthony. Storm Betty, which will batter Northern England, Ireland, North Wales and much of Scotland next week, will make Britain’s summer chilly this year.

At the same time, apart from bringing a cold spell during the summer, storm Anthony also wreaked havoc in many places. Heavy losses were recorded in Wales and Scotland due to gusts of up to 57mph. This is followed by the arrival of Betty which predicts more speed and heavy rains. This is the second time since 2015 that two storms of their own name have hit Britain in August. In 2020, Storm Ellen and Storm Frances wreaked havoc in Britain. Storm Betty is set to bring 60mph winds and heavy rain to Central Scotland, South West Scotland, Northern Ireland, North Wales and Cornwall following a two-year hiatus. There is a warning that road and rail traffic will also be disrupted here.
