The Murtal was particularly badly hit by storms and storms on Thursday. A large number of rescue workers were deployed in the Gaal. Due to the strong gusts of wind, several kilometers of the access road to Ingeringsee were relocated through fallen trees.
After an emergency call from a woman who was trapped in her vehicle by falling trees, emergency services went to Ingeringsee. Since the access road was no longer passable and it was not clear how many people were in an alpine emergency, the police helicopter Libelle was called in. The rescue helicopter Christophorus 99 was also alerted and flew over the area of operation.
Flown out with a rescue helicopter
A total of 25 people, including five small children and three dogs, were rescued from the alpine emergency with the Libelle. Another 34 people were trapped in the Reicherhube area. The way to this area was cleared by the Bischoffeld fire brigade. The fire brigade then transported the 34 people to their own armory. Four forest workers were able to get to safety independently via hiking trails from the danger area in the Ingeringgraben. The 63 rescued people were unharmed.
