The incident happened on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. in a food market in Linz. A 29-year-old Romanian woman took a wrapped toy car from the shelf, opened it and handed it to her son who was sitting in the shopping cart. They then put the packaging back on the shelf. The woman and a 29-year-old Romanian got a total of three cars for her son in this way. The couple then went to the checkout to pay – but only for the other goods they had purchased and not the three cars.
During a subsequent speech, they admitted the thefts. They will now be displayed.
