Stocks: SONATEL SN and ORANGE COTE D’IVOIRE (ORAC) in focus on Thursday

After last week’s mixed performance, the market continued to rise. The BRVM Composite Index closed at 249.75 points, up 0.65%. As for the other two major indices, the BRVM 30 is currently at 125.40 points, up 0.76%, and the BRVM Prestige is at 111.60 points, up slightly by 0.14%.

Among gainers, market record BERNABE CI (BNBC) rose 3.77% to 1,100 FCFA, followed by ORANGE COTE D’IVOIRE (ORAC) up 3.53% to 14,500 FCFA, and SETAO CI (STAC) up 2.86% to 720 FCFA.

On the contrary, Air Liquide CI (SIVC) recorded the biggest decline in the day’s trading, falling by 7.19% to 645 FCFA, TRACTAFRIC MOTORS CI (PRSC) fell by 5.11% to 2,600 FCFA, and Banque Africaine de Senegal (BOAS) also fell by 5.01% to 5,215 FCFA.

SONATEL SN (SNTS) and ORANGE COTE D’IVOIRE (ORAC) attracted much attention on Thursday with trading volumes of 179,214,195 FCFA and 155,367,730 FCFA respectively.
