According to research by ‘Standard’, blue members of the EU Parliament employ relatives of their party friends – a devastating custom
Vienna (OTS) – “Herbert Kickl’s motto ‘Our money for our people’ is reinterpreted by the FPÖ. According to a report in the ‘Standard’, the blue MP Georg Mayer employed close relatives of the Styrian FPÖ chairman Mario Kunasek and the FPÖ delegation leader Harald Vilimsky in his office in Brussels. Vilimsky, on the other hand, has employed people who are relatives of former FPÖ Deputy Mayor Mario Eustacchio and Vienna FPÖ club chairman Maximilian Krauss. All of this happens under the chairmanship of Kickl. The FPÖ leader apparently has nothing to counter this devastating picture,” says the General Secretary of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker, amazed at the nepotism within the FPÖ delegation in the EU Parliament and the inactivity of the blue chairman.
“The code of conduct of the EU Parliament is no coincidence: it prohibits the employment of one’s own relatives. The Kickl-FPÖ apparently circumvents this rule in an outrageous way. While the FPÖ always attacks the EU violently, it uses the EU institutions as supply posts for family members of its party friends. Party chairman Herbert Kickl is called upon to ensure complete transparency quickly,” Stocker concluded.
