As can be learned from media reports, the Vienna public prosecutor’s office is examining Kickl’s confidante Harald Vilimsky in the course of the expenses affair
Vienna (OTS) – “The expenses affair of the FPÖ shows a negligent handling of tax money. As can be learned from media reports, investigators from the Vienna public prosecutor’s office accuse Harald Vilimsky, head of the FPÖ delegation in the EU Parliament and Kickl confidante, of being deeply involved in the expenses affair and of having embezzled party funds. These allegations are in the air and must be examined completely – even if all the accused deny the allegations mentioned. The internal events in the FPÖ, which have now become public, show very clearly the more than questionable handling of the Kickl-FPÖ with tax money and testify to a moral image for which Herbert Kickl is responsible. Kickl doesn’t even have his own party under control, and he’s certainly not up to a government office.
The FPÖ chairman must finally ensure full clarification,” says the General Secretary of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker.
“The state funding for parties is not intended to enrich individual top representatives personally, but to fulfill the democratic-political mandate of a party. If an active high-ranking representative of the FPÖ is said to have personally enriched himself with party money, full clarification is in the interest of all Austrians. Only Herbert Kickl apparently sees it differently,” Stocker continued, who finally emphasized: “It shows once once more that both the SPÖ and the FPÖ are busy with themselves instead of working for the people in our country. The Austrian population expects factual politics instead of self-occupation and party-political bickering. Because only objective politics will ensure that Austria remains fit for the future.”
