Vienna (OTS) – “Anyone who describes the clear position on ‘Sky Shield’ as an election campaign or tactic has little to do with security policy. Apparently, the NEOS, like the FPÖ, only see security policy as an election campaign issue – and thus also lose all credibility on security issues. Security policy is and will remain a core concern of the People’s Party. And anyone who endangers this cannot be a credible partner for the People’s Party,” said the Secretary General of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker, referring to the dispatch by the Secretary General of NEOS, Douglas Hoyos, and further emphasized: “Herbert Kickl is and will remain a security risk. He proved that by destroying the BVT and rejecting defensive neutrality. We stand for defensive neutrality, the Kickl-FPÖ for defenseless neutrality. Herbert Kickl wants to protect Austria with horses, the People’s Party with rockets. These facts are crystal clear on the table and the allegations by the NEOS Secretary General from the sidelines will not change anything. The People’s Party will not heave any security risk into office.”
