Vienna (OTS) – “While Kickl is afraid of the population, Chancellor Karl Nehammer is also facing critical questions. The only thing we might expect from the Kickl-FPÖ in recent months were populist demands and party political games. Herbert Kickl does not want to take responsibility for his own actions and does not want to answer questions from the public. With his rejection of the Puls24 Citizens’ Forum, Kickl made it clear: he is not interested in critical questions and real concerns of the people, he only answers the questions he receives from his party station,” said the General Secretary of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker.

“We have experienced Herbert Kickl’s understanding of the media in the last few days – keyword: Peter Klien. His access to critical media is a threat to democracy. The Kickl system means fear of and violence once morest the people,” continues Stocker, who concludes by emphasizing: “Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer has a different understanding of politics than Herbert Kickl – our Chancellor answers the questions of the Austrians and is not afraid of the population. It is important that critical questions are asked and answered by political representatives. Herbert Kickl rejects this and shows once once more that he is a danger to our democracy.”
