Investing.com – US stocks were mixed at the close on Friday, as gains in the , , and . On the other hand, losses were recorded in the , and , sectors, which led the indices lower.
At the end of trading in New York, it lost 1.12%, and within 6 months it reached its lowest record level, while it fell by regarding 0.48% and strengthened its position at 0.38%.
Among the leading stocks today was Intel Group (NASDAQ:), whose value rose 9.29%, or 3.02 points, and its price reached 35.54 at the close. On the other hand, Apple (NASDAQ:) shares continued to rise by 0.80%, or 1.33 points, and closed at 168.22, while Microsoft Group (NASDAQ:) shares increased by 0.59%, or 1.92 points, to 329.81 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performance at the end of today’s trading, Chevron Corp (NYSE:) stock closed down 6.71%, or 10.39 points, and traded at 144.36 at the close. JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:) shares declined by 3.63%, or 5.11 points, at a price of 135.65, while Amgen Company (NASDAQ:) shares closed down by 3.02%, or 8.14 points, at a price of 261.57.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was recorded by DexCom stock (NASDAQ:), which rose by 10.11% at a price of 89.29. Intel Group (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 9.29% and closed at 35.54 levels. Likewise, Capital One Financial (NYSE:) stock rose regarding 9.21% and ended its trading at a price of 97.75.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention the stock of Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 14.65% and closed its session at a price of 82.09, the stock of Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:), which lost 12.29% at a price of 9.96, and the stock of Charter. Telecom (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 9.65% and closed at 372.00 in today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by Forbion European Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:), which rose by 59.33% at a price of 28.44. Apollomics Inc (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 51.76% and closed at 0.86 levels. Likewise, Spectaire Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) stock rose by 45.34% and ended its trading at 2.34.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Liberty Tripadvisor Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 57.97% and closed its session at a price of 10.50, reAlpha Tech Corp (NASDAQ:), which lost 53.57% at a price of 23.17, and shares of… Sayat Mobile (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 47.93% and closed at 0.67 in today’s session on the stock exchange.
The number of stocks that declined the most exceeded the number of stocks that closed with an increase in trading on the New York Stock Exchange, with 2075 compared to 826, while 82 remained unchanged.
