Investing.com – U.S. stocks were lower at the close on Wednesday, as indicators were lower, and losses in the .

At the end of trading in New York, it recorded a decline of 0.42%, while it declined by 0.97% and weakened by 2.22%.

The biggest gainers of the day were United Health Inc. (NYSE:) share, which rose 2.70% or 13.99 points and traded at 531.75 at the close. On the other hand, Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:) share increased by 2.60% or 4.62 points and closed at 182.23, while Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE:) share increased 2.32% or 3.52 points to 154.99 at the end of the session.

As for the weakest performance at the end of trading today, Silverforce.com (NYSE:) stock closed down at 4.44% or 9.32 points and traded at 200.82 at the close. The share of Microsoft Group (NASDAQ:) decreased by 3.66%, or 11.38 points, to a price of 299.50, while the share Visa Inc Class A (NYSE:) closed down at 3.13% or 7.08 points at 219.01.

On the other hand, the best performer in the S&P 500 was Lilly, Eli & Co (NYSE:), which rose 4.56% to 305.84, NRG Energy Inc (NYSE:) also continued to rise at 4.23 % and closed at levels of 39.21, as well as the share of Dollar General Company (NYSE:) that increased by 4.20% and ended its trading at 239.00.

Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention the company’s stock Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NYSE:), which fell by 6.80% to close at 20.68, share Penn National Gaming Inc (NASDAQ:), which lost 6.72% at a price of 39.02 and shares Caesars Entertainment Corp (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 6.67% and closed at 72.01 today’s session on the stock exchange.

On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by Advent Technologies Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) stock, which rose by 79.70% at a price of 3.63, Moxian Inc (NASDAQ:) also continued to rise at 39.76% and closed at 2.32, as well as Mobiquity Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:) share, which rose towards 29.63% and ended its trading at 2.10.

Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention the company’s stock Guardforce AI Co Ltd (NASDAQ:), which fell by 32.54% and closed at 1.14, share GWG Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:), which lost 25.14% at a price of 2.62, and Integrated Media Technology Ltd. (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 21.44%, and concluded at a price of 20.52 today’s session on the stock exchange.

The number of decliners exceeded the number of shares that closed higher with trading on the New York Stock Exchange with 2270 compared to 946, while 108 remained unchanged. As for the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2791 of the shares fell and 1126 strengthened its position, while 193 of the shares maintained their value.

The share of Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:) climbed to an all-time high, and it added 4.20% or 9.64 points to a price of 239.00. The share of United Health Inc. (NYSE:) climbed to an all-time high, as it rose towards 2.70% or 13.99 points, at a price of 531.75. Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:) stock climbed to an all-time high, as it rose 2.60% or 4.62 points to a price of 182.23. Wal-Mart Stores stock (NYSE:) climbed to an all-time high, as it rose towards 2.32% or 3.52 points, at a price of 154.99. The dollar index contracts traded with an increase of 0.22% at the level of 99.64.
