Investing.com – German stocks were mixed at the end of trading on Tuesday, as gains in the , , and . On the other hand, losses were recorded in the , and , sectors, which led the indices lower.
At the end of trading in Frankfurt, it closed down by 0.02%, while it fell by regarding 0.15% and strengthened its position at 0.68%.
Among the best performers of the day were Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:), which rose 2.13%, or 4.70 points, to trade at 225.10 at the close. On the other hand, HeidelbergCement AG shares (ETR:) continued to rise at 1.63%, or 1.28 points, and closed at 79.92, while Berseedorf Eximgesellschaft shares (ETR:) increased by 1.39%, or 1.85 points, to 135.05 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performance at the end of today’s trading, Zalando SE (ETR:) stock closed down by 4.74%, or 1.03 points, and traded at 20.70 levels at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) shares declined by 4.19%, or 0.47 points, to a price of 10.62, while Merck KGaA (ETR:) shares closed down by 2.52%, or 3.55 points, to a price of 137.60.
On the other hand, the best performance in the MDAX index was recorded by Aixtron SE (ETR:), which rose by 7.79% at 38.88, Carl Zeiss Medi (ETR:) also continued its rise at 6.53% and closed at 93.60 levels, Likewise, Nemetschek AG (ETR:) shares rose regarding 2.23% and ended its trading at 79.80.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Nordex SE (ETR:), which fell by 6.88% and closed its session at 9.48, HelloFresh SE (ETR:), which lost 5.51% at 14.67, and SMA Solar Technology AG. (ETR:), which weakened by 4.01% and closed at 57.40 today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the TecDAX technology index was recorded by Aixtron SE (ETR:), which rose by 7.79% at a price of 38.88. Carl Zeiss Medi (ETR:) also continued its rise at 6.53% and closed at 93.60 levels. Likewise, Morphosys (ETR:) stock rose regarding 6.05% and ended its trading at 35.40.

The number of stocks that declined the most exceeded the number of stocks that closed with an increase in trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, with 407 compared to 232, while 24 remained unchanged.
