There aren’t many people who start new bands at 80, but legendary guitarist, producer and songwriter Steve Cropper It’s not slowing down anytime soon.
The triple-musician, recently nominated for his first solo Grammy for the debut album of his tight-knit rock n’ soul quintet, Steve Cropper & The Midnight Hourhas just released his highly anticipated second album, ‘Friendlytown’, out via Mascot Label Group/Provogue.
Always ahead of its time and never repeating itself, Cropper involved the talent of in the album Billy F. Gibbons of the ZZ TopThe album also features appearances by guitarist extraordinaire Queen Brian May and of the country-rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Tim Montanawho balanced a successful solo career with high-profile collaborations with Gibbons and Kid Rock.
