Stephen Curry’s defensive highlights this season are serious business

We talk a lot, and rightly so, regarding the crazy performances and offensive sequences that Stephen Curry can offer us. But one aspect of his game continues to be well underestimated despite his investment: defense. That’s why the NBA decided to give Steph some respect on the other side of the court, by releasing a compilation of the Warriors point guard’s best defensive moves this season. Come on, it’s a gift!

Yes, we tend to forget the guy is so sick when it comes to scoring, but Steph Curry is doing pretty well to protect his half of the field. And since a good booster shot is always good, the NBA has decided to pay tribute to this part of its game with the best defensive actions of the crazy shooter in this season 2021-22. And even if we can’t put him in the category of “elite” defenders, we can see that the boy is solid in hindering his direct opponents. At the same time, you don’t win three championship titles without a minimum of solidity. Steph is ultimately the image of this Warriors team: recognized for his offensive game but also serious when it comes to locking in important moments. Defense, an area in which Curry has also progressed over the years, especially in his placement to intercept or cause offensive fouls. We can also see that in Match 2 between Celtics and Warriors, in which Boston was very embarrassed by a Steph Curry always ready to cut the passing lines. So we give Steph what belongs to him and we appreciate his defensive qualities.

You know the saying: “Attack wins games, defense wins titles”. Despite all his offensive talent, Stephen Curry understood it well. It’s not for nothing that the guy knew how to lead his team to such success. And his defensive progress is probably not for nothing.
