Dirty evening for the Warriors, this Wednesday at Golden State. Not only did the Pacers inflict a nasty defeat on the defending champions (125-119), but in addition Stephen Curry had to leave the field following a shoulder injury. We hold our breath in San Francisco…
It’s an image that gives Warriors fans nightmare.
Stephen Curry, gumshield out, face frozen with injury, right hand crushing left shoulder to hold back pain.
In Wednesday night’s game between Indiana and Golden State, the All-Star point guard had to leave the field in the second half following an interception attempt. Yet hot as a fries stand at this time of the meeting (38 points in 30 minutes), the Chef wanted to prevent Jalen Smith from scoring by putting his mimine in the fray. The kind of sequence where one bad move can bruise your shoulder, and that’s exactly what happened in this case.

Immediately, Curry was escorted back to the locker room with the help of an assistant from Steve Kerr, while the Dub Nation ate their fingernails.
After the meeting, Steve Kerr confirmed that an MRI would be performed on Thursday to find out more regarding this injury.
Is it just a simple bad move that will require Steph to stay warm for a few days, without the shoulder getting too hot? Or much worse, and knock on wood that it doesn’t happen, was the rotator cuff injured, which would immobilize Curry for much longer?
We recently saw a boy like Paul George go through a hell of a hard time following a shoulder injury, which forced him to stay on the sidelines for long weeks and forced him to make a timid return to the courts. Shoulder injuries are, basically, very annoying in basketball, but then when you’re a sniper like Steph, you might as well say that shooting with one arm makes your life more difficult.
Pending news from Thursday’s MRI, Golden State lost its 13th game in 15 trips this season.
Next game… this Friday, in Philadelphia.
