STEPHEN Curry scored 29 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Milwaukee Bucks 125-90 in an NBA opener.
Milwaukee is undefeated since the All-Star break, with improved defense helping Doc Rivers’ team post a six-game winning streak.
But the Warriors put in a great performance to keep the Bucks going from the start of the game.
The Warriors scored 40 points in the first quarter and then added 38 points in the second to take a 78-58 halftime lead.
Although Milwaukee rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Golden State 23-15, the Warriors were able to come back and win.
“The nature of the NBA, you can get hit by a bus like we did in Boston and there’s a temptation to forget the hard work we’ve put in over the last month and a half and the identity we want to create,” AFP quoted Curry as saying.

“For us to respond the way we did back home was huge. For us to be able to turn things around, play with belief and confidence following a loss like that, it shows what we’re building on and who we are.” added Curry.
Curry was supported in scoring by Jonathan Kuminga with 20 points, while Trayce Jackson-Davis was impressive with 15 points off the bench.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee’s scorers with 23 points, while Damian Lillard and Bobby Portis each scored 20 points.
The Bucks remain in second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 41-22, eight games behind leader Boston.
