Today, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) announced the appointment of Stéphane Morel as general director, replacing Caroline Flaissier.

“Its priority will be to ensure the continuation of the ongoing transformation, to ensure the success of the main upcoming events (Roland-Garros, JOP 2024, Rolex Paris Masters, etc.) and to implement actions to strengthen ongoing dialogue with the employees of the Federation » explains the FFT in a press release.

An appointment which comes after a unanimous decision by the members of the FFT executive committee. As a reminder, Caroline Flaissier, who succeeded Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, was “laid off” a few weeks ago after the echoes of a letter from employees denouncing their working conditions.

Until then, Stéphane Morel held the position of deputy general director of the FFT, in charge of commercial development. “With more than twenty-five years of experience in several major institutions in the sporting and e-sports world (FFT, NBA and Ubisoft), including six years within the FFT, whose organization and functioning he knows perfectly, Stéphane Morel has in-depth knowledge of the French tennis ecosystem and global sport. His wealth of experience constitutes a considerable asset for the Federation, involved in several major projects (diversification, clubs, modernization, attractiveness, high level, Rolex Paris Masters, etc.). Stéphane Morel has demonstrated throughout his career undeniable technical and managerial skills that he will use to the benefit of the collective. He will bring all his dynamism, professionalism and strategic vision to support and guide the teams in the success of the FFT’s ambitious projects. »
