This Saturday, the town hall of Tournai traveled back in time, and more precisely in 1860.
Hundreds of dresses swirled in the Queen’s salon on the first floor, under the instructions of the dancing master, Arnaud Degioanni, who had come from France for the occasion.
The event is organized each year by the Tournaisian dance school, Danses&Cie, of which around sixty students presented various quadrilles and waltzes during this imperial ball. The director, Elisabeth Gossuin, represented the hostess, Sissi the Empress of Austria.
