Ingredients:
– 250 g of harina leudante
– 1 pinch of salt
– 130 g of sugar
– 2 eggs
– 85 g of manteca ointment
– 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
– almendras c/n
– dried cranberries c/n
– Options: raisins, pistachios, chocolate chips, almond essence, orange or lemon zest
Preparation
Mix the creamed butter with the sugar in a bowl, add the vanilla essence and the eggs without beating so as not to incorporate air.
Sift the flour and add to the previous preparation along with the salt. Form the dough and add the nuts, raisins, chips, etc.
Form two long, not very thick cylinders, flatten them a little and place them on a greased and floured plate or with non-stick coating.
Cook at 170° C, in a preheated oven, for approximately 25 minutes until golden. Remove from heat, let cool and cut thin slices diagonally. Place back on the plate and dry in the oven at minimum heat (140/150° C) for another 10/15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
