Stellantis Joins Forces with Faurecia and Michelin in Symbio to Lead in Zero-Emission Hydrogen Mobility

Faurecia, Michelin and Stellantis have signed a binding agreement under which Stellantis will acquire a 33.3 percent stake in Symbio. The two French groups will each remain equal shareholders in the leading company in the field of zero-emission hydrogen mobility, each with a 33.3 percent stake.

Symbio plans to manufacture 50,000 fuel cells per year by 2025 at its Gigafactory in Saint-Fons, which is scheduled to start production in the second half of 2023. Total production is to be expanded to 100,000 systems per year by 2028. (awm)
