  • In Yvonne Eisenring’s podcast, Stefan Büsser gives insight into his finances.

  • The 39-year-old has a little over 100,000 francs in his account.

  • There is even more money in his company account.

Moderator Stefan Büsser (39) reveals his account balance in a podcast. He also talks regarding excesses, complexes and hate comments.

The comedian said in the podcast “Truth, Wine and Iron Ring”. Yvonne Eisenring (36) that he earns much less with his “Comedy Men” project than one might expect. At his request, his salary would be lower than that of his co-hosts Aron Herz and Michael Schweizer. “Of course I also earn something, but for contractual reasons I’m not allowed to say how much,” said Büsser.

But what he can reveal is his account balance: “A little over 100,000 francs”. Yvonne wants to know how many accounts he has. “The company account still exists and there’s a little more on it,” says Büssi. He also owns a home. However, he was unable to pay for his apartment in the Zurich agglomeration entirely from his own funds.

Stefan Büsser reads hater comments from time to time

The comedian also reveals that he has a penchant for excess. Although he is sipping a non-alcoholic beer during the conversation, he says: “If I drink a beer or a glass of wine, I am not the connoisseur who stops following one glass, but drinks five or six. After that, nothing at all for a while.” However, he has never had a film break and he has never experimented with other drugs – except for weed.

When it comes to hate comments, Büsser says he doesn’t deal well with criticism of himself, but still reads the feedback on social media from time to time. «There are moments when I know I shouldn’t read the comments and then I don’t. In the last few months I’ve had to learn something new in this aspect because the ‘late night show’ brought regarding a lot in terms of convictions.”

Serious insults bother him less than when people hit a sore spot. “If someone writes to me that I’m a son of a bitch, it’s wrong on such a level that it’s clear that I’m not that person’s problem, but that they have completely different problems.”

Büssi is struggling with his self-confidence

He had complexes with his body for a long time: “As a child, I was always chosen last in sports. Other children told me what was wrong with me because of my illness. So I mightn’t build up enough self-confidence.” The presenter has suffered from the metabolic disease cystic fibrosis since birth.

“The moment when I can stand in front of the mirror and tell myself that I’m a horny sick person will probably never come,” says Stefan. But he has already come a long way in terms of self-confidence. Imposter syndrome also bothers him, especially since he got the job as host of “Late Night Show Switzerland”. For example, he has thoughts like: “You’re not that good. Patti Basler might do it better.”

Nevertheless, Büsser is proud of his success and his work: “That probably hurt me the most in the late night discussion. I was made to feel like this was given to me. I worked extremely hard for the job and deserved it.”
