The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to closely watch the College Football Playoff on Saturday as the NFL Draft is not far away.

The Steelers still have little chance of making the playoffs, but the Pittsburgh front office is still one step ahead. Expect Omar Khan and his teammates to have their eye on the College Football Playoff, as many NFL Draft candidates will play for one of the following teams: Georgia, Ohio State, TCU and Michigan on Saturday night.

Pittsburgh will make their pick midway through the first round, which somewhat limits their options. The Steelers won’t be lucky enough to have CJ Stroud, for example, or Jalen Carter. It is expected that these players will no longer be on the roster at pick time.

The Steelers’ needs start on the offensive line, and progress to secondary and even wide receiver following they traded Chase Claypool midseason. Here’s who Pittsburgh football fans should watch in the CFP.

Steelers draft: Kelee Ringo is one to watch

Kelee Ringo will likely face talented receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State for most of the game. This will be a one-on-one match for posterity. If Ringo wins, Ohio State has a very slim chance of getting a win.

Ringo might very well confirm his status as a first-round pick by neutralizing Ohio State’s talented receiving corps on Saturday. As a sophomore redshirt, he can enter the NFL Draft.

Ringo possesses elite strength and speed that allow him to compete with any wide receiver at the pro level, as well as play jump balls. It’s a rare combination the Steelers should want to have on their roster.
