Steam announced the results of its hardware survey in July 2022. Benefiting from the sales of Steam Deck, the proportion of Linux system usage has increased slightly, and it has the opportunity to surpass the macOS system to become the second operating system used by Steam.

According to the latest data from Steam, the most popular operating system is still Windows 10 64 bit, the mainstream memory capacity is still 16 GB, the graphics card model is NVIDIA GTX 1060, and the common resolution is 1080p. In last month’s report, the usage rate of Windows 11 increased by 1.64% compared with the previous month, and the overall proportion reached 21.23%, accounting for 1/5 of all Windows users. The ratio continues to increase, and the bulk of the Windows 10 golden cross.

Among the graphics card related data, the most used graphics card model in the Steam rankings is still the NVIDIA GTX 1060, with a growth rate of +0.14%, followed by the GTX 1650 and GTX 1050Ti, the rankings remain the same as last month.

In the July 2022 data, it can be seen that NVIDIA GTX 1060 is still the graphics card with the highest installed probability, an increase of 0.14% compared with the previous month. The most used style of the RTX 30 series is RTX 3060, its desktop version. The laptop version and the laptop version accounted for 2.52% and 3.25% respectively, ranking fifth and eighth in the overall proportion.

The styles that have fallen in proportion include: RTX 3080 (-0.07%) and RTX 3070 (-0.12), while RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3060 Ti are slightly increased by 0.01% respectively.

At present, nearly 97.03% of all players on Steam use the Windows operating system, followed by 1.74% of the players using the macOS system, and finally 1.23% of the players using the Linux system.
