O Steamfamous computer game client, announced the final release of Game Recording (Game Recording)a feature that allows you to easily record your games directly on the platform, without the need for any additional software.

Available in the latest version of the application for macOS — which, as promised last year, no longer supports versions High Sierra 10.13 e Mojave 10.14 or lower versions of the operating system — the resource has powerful recording, editing and sharing tools.

When we talk about recording, it is possible to do it in the background (in this case, matches are continuously recorded and saved in a folder chosen by the user with duration and space limits) or by starting and ending a recording manually (on demand).

Allowing you to easily revisit recordings already made from the Steam Panel, the feature offers tools that make it possible to find and cut recordings into clips. Additionally, there are sharing and export tools from Steam Deck to your computer or smartphone.

Another very interesting thing about the function is the Timeline, which generates markers for screenshots and relevant events (in games integrated with timeline from Steam) that happen during matches. You can also add bookmarks manually.

Even working in games outside of Steam (as long as the Steam Dashboard works with the game), the Game Recording allows you to select which audio channels to include in the recording — which is only saved locally and gives the user the chance to choose what to share.
