The Department of Estimates at the Meteorological Authority stated that “mild spring weather dominates Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean until Friday morning, as it turns into volatile and rainy, under the influence of a relatively cold depression centered over Turkey, which culminates on Saturday and continues until Sunday followingnoon, The rains gradually recede, and the evening weather becomes cloudy,” noting that “the average temperature for the month of April ranges between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius.”
And it explained in its morning bulletin, “The expected weather in Lebanon today, Thursday, is slightly cloudy to partly cloudy, with medium and high clouds, with a slight rise in temperatures in the mountainous and coastal areas and a slight decrease in the interior regions, and active winds at times.”
And the Department of Estimates pointed out that “the weather expected tomorrow, Friday, is partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a decrease in temperatures in the mountainous and internal areas and without modification in the coastal areas. Scattered rains fall, which intensify at night, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds, regarding 60 km / h to the north. Snow also falls, starting from a height of 2200 meters and above during the day, and the level of precipitation decreases during the night, with temperatures dropping to touch the height of 1900 meters and above, and fog is formed on the heights.
And it indicated that “the weather expected on Saturday is generally cloudy, with an additional decrease in temperatures, and sporadic rains that are sometimes heavy, especially in the northern regions, accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds of approximately 60 km / h, intensifying in the northern regions to approximately 75 km / h; The sea wave rises with it, and snow falls from a height of 2000 meters and above, and the level of precipitation decreases at night to reach a height of 1800 meters, and fog continues to appear on the heights.
It also stated that “the expected weather on Sunday is partly cloudy to cloudy, with morning rain and snow at an altitude of 1,800 meters and above. The rains will gradually recede, starting in the followingnoon, with the beginning of a rise in temperatures, as the evening weather turns into a little cloudy.”
The department also added that “the surface winds are northwesterly to northeasterly during the day and fluctuating weakly at night, their speed is between 10 and 30 km/h. Sweeping is generally good on the coast and gets worse at times on heights due to fog. Relative humidity on the coast is between 65 and 85%. Sea condition is low. Waves, and the water surface temperature is 20 degrees Celsius.
