Melissa Lewis has been diagnosed with three different types of skin cancer since 2009, due to her long hours in the sun and poolside over the years.

Lewis revealed that she now requires ongoing treatment for the rest of her life.

In 2018, surgeons removed a cancerous tumor from her ear and also biopsied a part of her forehead, which turned out to be an early form of skin cancer called Bowen’s disease.

Lewis said she used to spend many hours in the sun by the pool or on the beaches to get her skin a darker color than normal.

Lewis encourages people to constantly get skin checks. From 2009 to 2018, doctors found lots of precancerous growths all over her body, including her nose, forehead, ear and chest.

In the present, Melissa has to undergo a painful facial every year that leaves her skin red, scaly, and painful, all as a precaution to ensure that Bowen’s disease on her forehead does not invade her bloodstream.
