The IRM extends its yellow thunderstorm alert for Liège, Namur and Luxembourg. Initially scheduled until Friday 2:00 p.m., the yellow storm alert issued by the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) is extended until 5:00 p.m. for the provinces of Liège, Namur and Luxembourg.
The weather will become drier once more on Friday followingnoon, with sunny spells from the west, the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) said in its midday bulletin. However, some showers will still be possible, especially in the central and eastern parts of the country.
South of the Sambre and Meuse furrow, the showers might still be intense and stormy. The maxima will oscillate between 18 and 20°C in the Ardennes and at the sea, and will be around 24°C in the big cities and in the extreme south of the country. The wind will be moderate from west to southwest.

Friday evening, the last showers will move towards the east and the clearings will widen towards the center. During the night from Friday to Saturday, the weather will be dry, but partly cloudy over the whole territory. At the end of the night, the cloudiness and the risk of showers will increase once more at the Coast. The minima will reach 8 or 9°C in the Ardennes valleys, 13°C by the sea, and 14°C in Belgian Lorraine.
At the start of the day on Saturday, downpours, sometimes intense and accompanied by a thunderclap, are expected in the extreme northwest of the country, while the weather will remain dry and partly cloudy in the rest of the territory. It will be slightly cooler with highs of 18°C on the Ardennes terrain and 20 or 21°C elsewhere.
