What are the symptoms of “smallpox”?

Smallpox has an incubation period of 5 – 20 days. If exposed to a large amount of the virus, symptoms will show quickly. But if there is not much exposure to the infection, symptoms will last approximately 3 weeks.

The first symptoms that are clearly noticeable are fever, chills, body aches, back pain, eye pain, muscle pain, sore throat, and fatigue.

Pustules that are covered with scabs and can break. The severity of each patient depends on the amount of infection received. But it is not life-threatening.
