Status quo for train punctuality in October compared to last year

With a result of 85.49%, train punctuality in October roughly equals that of the same month last year, according to statistics published Friday by the railway infrastructure manager, Infrabel, on its Open Data web portal. . In October, 85.49% of national passenger convoys arrived on time or at most six minutes late in Brussels or their final destinations. A year ago, they were 85.24%.

The incident which had the greatest impact on traffic was an accident involving people in Duffel (province of Antwerp) on October 12. It caused more than 5,900 minutes of delays and the cancellation of 134 journeys. The bomb threat in Antwerp-Central caused 2,833 minutes of delays and the cancellation of 226 connections.
