Research results showing that statins may be helpful for elderly male patients with chronic kidney disease were published in the academic journal ‘JAMA Network Open’.
Among the data from 17,609 U.S. veterans aged 65 or older, the research team focused on patients with stage 3 or 4 moderate chronic kidney disease and followed the participants for 3.6 years.
