States continue to issue financial aid to all eligible individuals. In the United States, direct payments have not stopped to benefit millions of taxpayers through various channels.
The money reaches the beneficiaries in a variety of ways. For example, there are stimulus checks and tax refunds, among other forms of direct payment.
Perhaps you weren’t expecting a new stimulus check by this point in 2024. Well, some states are keeping their payments available as long as the established requirements are met.
Stimulus checks for September
In New York, for example, the STAR stimulus check rebate program is in effect. Through this program, homeowners will receive their checks as relief for the school taxes they paid.
The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance reported on the issue: “The STAR program can save homeowners hundreds of dollars a year.”
If you are a new homeowner or are not receiving a STAR benefit on your current home, register as soon as your home becomes your primary residence. Remember, you only need to register once.
Meanwhile, a stimulus check is also being sent to Alaska. This money is for people who reside in the state. Those eligible will benefit from the area’s energy and mining profits. This Permanent Fund Annual Dividend (PFD) is awarded every year.
The direct payment currently being made is for the year 2023 and amounts to $1,312 USD. The last round of deposits was made on August 15.
However, a new batch will be arriving soon and it is for residents who have the status “Eligible-unpaid” on their application as of September 4, 2024. This financial aid will reach the beneficiaries on September 12.
