United States – Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed that following signing the military aid bill, the US military will quickly transfer ammunition to Ukrainian forces from its warehouses in Germany.
The general added in an interview reported by the New York Times: “We have very reliable logistical services. We can carry out the transfer within a few days.”
The American general indicated that transportation will be done by railway.
Last Wednesday, the Republican-controlled House, instead of approving the White House’s overall $95 billion request, passed three separate bills to aid Israel, Ukraine and its allies in the Indo-Pacific region.
Of the $60.84 billion allocated to Kiev, $23.2 billion is proposed to be used to compensate for military equipment and defense services provided by the United States. Another 13.8 billion will be spent on purchasing weapons and defense services for Ukraine. In contrast, $11.3 billion was allocated to support “immediate American military operations in the region.”
In addition, President Joe Biden must, within 60 days from the date the law enters into force, agree with Ukraine to repay the value of economic aid.
On Saturday, April 20, the US House of Representatives approved the three bills mentioned above.
