On the last day of the 61st State School Arts Festival, Kozhikode, the hosts, clinched the art crown with only one competition result remaining. Kozhikode won with 933 points. Kannur is in the second position with 913 points. Palakkad is at the third position with 911 points. At the school level, Palakkad Gurukulam School is leading with 156 points. Thiruvananthapuram Vashuthakkad Carmel Girls HSS is second with 142 points. Kanhangad Durga Higher Secondary School is in the third position with 114 points.
Out of total 239, 238 items have been completed. 96 out of 96 in High School General category, 104 out of 105 in Higher Secondary category, 19 out of 19 in High School Arabic and 19 out of 19 in High School Sanskrit. On the final day, 11 events were held. Higher secondary and high school category folk dance, tipple/jazz parichamut play and chendamelam were performed today. Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan will inaugurate the closing session in the evening. Singer KS Chitra will be the chief guest. The gold cup will be awarded to the winners of the art festival.
