State media are trained in the informative treatment of violence against women

Asunción, IP Agency.- MITIC State Media officials held a meeting with the communications team of the Ministry of Women and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to provide tools for the adequate treatment of information on violence once morest women.

The activity was organized by the General Directorate of Strategic Communication of the Vice Ministry of Communication of the MITIC.

The training focused on the “Lilac Glasses” guide, a material prepared by the Ministry of Women and UNFPA that offers recommendations to address the issue in a sensitive and respectful manner with the victims.

The meeting, which took place in the Paraguay TV press room, with journalists from the channel and the State radio stations, included the participation of the General Director of Strategic Communication, César Palacios, and the General Director of State Media, Héctor Riveros. , the institutional communicator of the Ministry of Women, Celeste Molinas and representing UNFPA in Paraguay, Patricia Aguilar.

During the activity, Molinas and Aguilar shared experiences and specific cases regarding the coverage of violence once morest women, and answered journalists’ questions.

This type of training allows us to improve work and contribute to the construction of a more just and equitable society.
