State government deploys support force to Tejupilco

With a deployment of helicopters from the Air Rescue Unit “Lightning”state Civil Protection brigades, Security, Health and Welfare, as well as the support of elements of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), the Government of the State of Mexico immediately assists families affected by the rains in Tejupilco.

The General Coordination of State Civil Protection reported that, by instruction of the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, A support force was deployed to assist the area affected by the overflow of the Rincón de López River.

In the area, which does not present flooding, the Sedena implements the DN-III Plan; 350 people and elements of the Secretariats of Security, Welfare, Health, Water Commission of the State of Mexico (CAEM) were transferred; as well as elements of the Mexican Army and National Guard; and the installation of two medical care and vaccination modules.

In this sense, Horacio Duarte OlivaresSecretary General of the Government of the State of Mexico emphasized that, from the first moment of the contingency, state Civil Protection personnel were transferred to Tejupilco, responding to the call for support made by the municipal president, Rigoberto López Rivera.

“The instruction that the Governor has given us is Don’t leave Tejupilco alone so that normality can be restored very quickly, fortunately, I insist, there are material damages, which have an advantage, there are no floods.”

“They will support the families just as we have done in other cases, a census is going to be taken quickly together with Welfare so that we know the exact number and what damage the homes had,” emphasized Horacio Duarte Olivares, General Secretary of the Government of the State of Mexico.

Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez ordered the permanent presence of support brigades In the affected area, therefore, the Incident Command Center was installed under the direction of Adrián Hernández Romero, General Coordinator of Civil Protection and Comprehensive Risk Management, together with representatives of the three levels of government in the tasks of aid to the population of Tejupilco.
