State Championship of Criollitos of Venezuela inaugurated in Carúpano, pre-junior category

The Criollitos de Venezuela Championship, pre-junior category, was inaugurated this Thursday with a colorful show at the José Francisco Bermúdez stadium in Carúpano, Sucre state, with the participation of teams from ten municipalities of the entity.

Elardo González, president of the Cesar Mata Maneiro League of Carúpano, said that there are many expectations for the championship, with evenly matched teams and the boys are expected to give their all.

Competing in the event are teams from Cumaná, Marigüitar, Chacopata, Araya, Güiria, Yaguaraparo, Cariaco, Río Caribe, Tunapuy and Carúpano.

To the final and support

He explained that in the first round, four teams must qualify and go to the semi-finals.

The state champion will represent the state of Sucre in the national championship in the state of Mérida.

The Carúpano representative hopes that the local team will reach the final with the Cumaná team.

Bermúdez’s sports director, Rafael Ramírez, highlighted the importance of the event and the support that has been given to these championships by the municipal administration. “We are committed to continuing to support sports in its different disciplines.”
