This exceptional aid is granted on a means-tested basis to households that use domestic wood (logs, pellets) as a source of heating.
The terms of the ” wood energy check are not yet specified. However, this new aid should be similar to the “fuel oil check” introduced in November.
As a reminder, this check is sent to households whose annual reference tax income per consumption unit is strictly less than €20,000.
The Minister of Public Accounts announced that the “wood energy” aid would be granted to people who earn up to €2,260 for a single person and up to €4,750 for a couple with 2 children.
This aid should be combined with the exceptional energy check, ranging from €100 to €200, paid automatically to the 12 million poorest households.
To request this “wood energy check”, you will need to connect to the energy check site from December 22, 2022, enter your electronic filer tax number and send your invoice.
The amount of this wood energy check will be between €50 and €200 depending on your level of income and the type of firewood used (logs or pellets).
