state aid of 100 euros extended and here’s how to take advantage of it! – Tuxboard

The fuel bonus granted to French people who use their car to get to work has been extended by several weeks.

As you know, the government has set up aid of 100 euros to enable the French to benefit from a grant of 100 euros to refuel. And this fuel bonus has been extended.

The fuel bonus helps the French to get to work

In France, nearly one in two French people uses his car to get to work. In 2010, 74% of working people said they traveled by car to reach their place of work. 16% of them use public transport and 8% use soft modes of transport.

In France, the car therefore still represents 60% of commutingeven if its share is decreasing in favor of bicycles and scooters.

With the inflation that the French have been going through for many months, the government has therefore decided to give a boost to those who use their car every day to get to work. And this is how the fuel bonus was born.

Since January 2023, it is possible to apply to receive the fuel bonus. The latter, in the amount of 100 euros, is therefore a real boost to the French.

Bruno Le Maire makes a funny observation

And as Bruno Le Maire recently observed, “almost half of the people concerned have still not benefited from it”. A startling observation that forced the Minister of the Economy to take a decision.

Indeed, provisions have been made so that they can be affected by as many people as possible. At the microphone of RTL, the minister therefore announced that the fuel bonus was going to be extended. “It was supposed to stop at the end of February, but we will extend it until the end of March so that the millions of our compatriots who are entitled to it can get it”he announced.

According to him, a large part of the French are entitled to the fuel bonus. Unfortunately, they don’t ask for it. According to Bruno Le Maire, they think “that they are not entitled to it when they are entitled to it”.

Know that this bonus is accessible to 50% of working French people and vehicles with the lowest incomes. Moreover, in case of doubt, know that the income ceilings posted on the government site to see more clearly.

Help for many French people

For Bruno Le Maire, of the 10 million households eligible for the fuel allowance, half did not show up. To claim it, the income must be less than 14,700 euros for the year 2021or 1,314 euros net per month for a single person.

If you live as a couple, the maximum income must not exceed 3,941 euros for a couple with two children. Note that the assistance is individual. This therefore means that each member of a household is eligible.

The fuel allowance concerns all types of vehicles, including motorized two-wheelers and cars without a licence. Until recently, owners of an old car might not request on the government website.

Know that you can now make your request, since a bug has been fixed. You therefore have until March 31, 2021 to log on to the impots.gouv.fr website and thus apply for the fuel bonus. You can also do these steps by going to your tax office.
