Starting today, Santander expands its international connections to the United States: the Bucaramanga – Miami route started

Aeropuerto de Oriente SAS and Avianca, through a statement, celebrate the expansion of air connectivity for the Palonegro de Lebrija international airport, which serves Bucaramanga, by starting the direct flight between this region of Colombia with South Florida in USA.

The Bucaramanga – Miami – Bucaramanga route will be operated with A-320 aircraft with a capacity of 150 passengers. This will be your itinerary:

*Bucaramanga – Miami: 6:10 am – 9:35 am Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

*Miami – Bucaramanga: 7:25 pm – 10:45 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

“It is satisfying to open with Avianca this important flight to eastern Colombia. It is a direct flight that will operate three times a week from the Palonegro de Lebrija international airport,” said Nelson Rodríguez Cruz, manager of Aeropuertos de Oriente SAS.

For his part, David Alemán, Avianca’s director of sales for Colombia and South America, said that these operations seek to facilitate customer connectivity so that they can travel directly.

“Likewise, the implementation of these point-to-point routes allows us to have an even more efficient operation. In addition, thinking of destinations like Miami is not only strengthening Avianca’s presence in cities that it has historically been present in, but also connecting them with new destinations with great tourist potential in both ways. In this way, we are encouraging more and more Colombians to have new travel alternatives inside and outside Colombia and that more tourists from different countries visit us,” he said.

The airline projects an availability of 900 seats per week for flights from Bucaramanga.

“The new air routes are the result of the management and good results achieved by the Concession through its Route Management Business Plan. This is a bet that strengthens both destinations and excellent results are expected for the economy in the hotel field, public and special transport, restaurants, tourism, among others,” said Nelson Rodríguez Cruz.
