From time to time, the Ministry of Health and Population allocates a number of free medical convoys to relieve citizens of harm and help them cope with life. The Ministry allocated 9 medical convoys as part of the Decent Life initiative on March 20 and 21, 2023, in order to examine and detect citizens and provide free treatment in various specialties.
Specializations of the Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health pointed out that the medical convoys include many specialties for examination, and citizens wishing to be examined can go to these convoys, and they include the following specializations.
- Specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, and specializing in family planning services
- Pediatric specialty, internal medicine, nose and ear
- Specializing in orthopedics, surgery, dental ophthalmology and heart.
- Dermatology, radiology and analysis services.

Medical convoy locations
The Ministry of Health and Population pointed out that the medical convoys target many governorates, including Qalyubia, Ismailia, Eastern, Western, and Beheira – Matrouh – Minya – Luxor – Assiut, and the medical convoys come under the presidential initiative, A Decent Life, to provide the best medical services to the governorates. On the other hand, the Ministry announced The Ministry of Health completed one million, 621 thousand and 321 surgeries, to prevent the accumulation of new lists, and urgent surgical intervention to preserve the life and health of citizens.
Patients waiting lists
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, pointed out that the ministry is following up regarding 26,555 cases following conducting operations during the period to ensure the quality and accuracy provided to citizens during the period from January 2023 to mid-March. The ministry also received regarding 90,991 calls from waiting list patients. Through the hotline in order to make many reservations, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health pointed out that the initiative includes many surgeries, including heart, orthopedic, ophthalmopathy, tumors, ambulatory and heart catheters, brain and nerves, kidney transplantation and liver transplantation.
