The program will be in effect until October 6, and directly affects residents with driver’s licenses issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).
Starting this week, drivers in Miami-Dade with suspended driver’s licenses can benefit from the new initiative called Operation Green Light, which seeks to alleviate the costs related to the restoration of said licenses.
The Clerk of Court and Comptroller of Miami-Dade County, Juan Fernández-Barquín, explained that the program not only reduces costs, but also makes it easier to establish payment plans if necessary. This will allow residents to reinstate their licenses, as long as they meet the requirements and make the appropriate payments.
What does Operation Green Light include?
This program is designed for those whose license has been suspended for reasons such as accumulating unpaid traffic tickets.
