how Could I Get It?
It’s not airborne, but you can catch it from touching contaminated surfaces or someone else’s hands and then touching your nose or mouth. You can also ingest it by eating contaminated foods like shellfish, leafy greens, and fresh fruit. It can linger on objects for days and even survive freezing temperatures.
It spreads most readily in crowded places: offices,schools,daycares,cruises,and restaurants.
How to Protect Yourself
Hand hygiene is crucial. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. avoid touching your face. Disinfect surfaces regularly, especially in shared spaces.Be mindful of food safety—ensure your meals are prepared in clean environments. And, if you’re in crowded spaces, keep your distance and minimize contact.

How do I avoid it?

- Until then, wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, rubbing them together all over. Don’t bother with hand sanitizer; it’s pretty ineffective.
- Wash your fruits and vegetables really well in cold water.
- Cook your food thoroughly (especially seafood and shellfish) to at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

you have my sympathy. There’s no cure, so you’ll have to tough it out. Be thankful it’s short-lived. But given the symptoms, you quickly can become dehydrated. So even if you’re too sick to eat, take sips of fluid as often as you can, especially liquids that contain electrolytes.
Your symptoms should subside after a few days, but heads up: Unlike respiratory viruses, you can still be infectious for another two weeks. (The virus will continue to be present in your stool, for example.) Experts advise that even when you’re feeling better, just keep to yourself for a while and definitely don’t prepare anyone else’s food.
